Rusty & Buddy
Bringing two Champion Bloodline together

After finding Buddy, the search was on to fine the perfect mate. After the task of deciding
the origin, size and color. Finding the right girl for Buddy would prove to be even harder.
We started by looking for bassets with a strong background of Champions in both
parents Bloodline. Then we check for those that did not have line breeding in there past. This
would prove to be the hardest part of finding a mate for Buddy. So after all of the work, we
took a trip our self's to see the puppy of choose.

Well the match could not have been better. Buddy took to Rusty as soon as he saw her.
Rusty & Buddy seem to know the work that went into bring them together.

RusBud Bloodline
A HB Bloodline come together

In the begining we had three bassets that would carry the "RusBud" Bloodline name.
Buford, our only littered Stud. Plus two of his sisters, Buddy's Little Lady and Jesse James.
The three of them (Little Lady, Jesse James and Buford) would go on to have many great litters. Ultimately it would be Jesse James that would carry on the RusBud Bloodline name. At that
time we wanted to change the way breeding was being done in the US.
We would hand pick a couple girls from Jesse's last litter to be her successor. Instead of
breeding them with our on boys. We would start importing studs to bring new blood from all over
the world. Top quality show dogs would becme the mating parter for our RusBud girls. Generation after generation we would keep a few girls from one of the last litters. Breeding
each girls a few times before deciding who would be our next successor. This way of
thanking would give us the control we needed to produce the best quality girls
for our next generation. Alway breeding several girl at a time. But ultimately
we pick one from each group to carry on the bloodline. As we start each new generation we choose our next Champion Bloodline Stud. To date
our Rusbud Bloodline puppies have studs from all over the world. Our new puppies have
some of the greatest show dogs in the world in their background. From Elysian Statice,
Musicland, Queen's Hermelin, Citadela Bohemia/NewDown, Lady Barnett's
and Moravia Bray
